CSU student gets the opportunity of a lifetime

With thousands of students currently undertaking study at CSU, why not give yourself a competitive edge with some work experience?

CSU Communications (Journalism) and Sport Studies student Georgia Thompson has taken the encouragement from her CSU peers and lecturers seriously, being selected to undertake work experience as a Content Assistant at the 2015 Sydney Netball World Cup (NWC2015) in August this year.

Georgia’s role will involve assisting NWC2015 Marketing and Communications staff in the creation and distribution of content to share via NWC2015 communication channels on their website, social media and through press releases. She will also attend press conferences, interview talent and monitor social media channels.

Georgia is a second year student at CSU’s Bathurst campus and faced fierce competition for the opportunity alongside her third and fourth year peers. Georgia thinks the opportunity will give her a valuable insight into her future industry and teach her new skills.

“I’m sure it will be an amazing experience and I can’t wait to discover more,” said Georgia.

CSU students are always encouraged to further their education through interning and experience opportunities. To get involved in practical learning, contact a CSU Career Development Officer or your Course Coordinator.
