You may have encountered our phrase “Avoid the queue, AskCSU”, but we recently turned the tables and asked you the questions in our annual Student Survey, and will soon be publishing the results for 2016.
The survey was conducted in March and April to ask you about the various tools and means by which you search and locate information at CSU; where you go for answers to your questions; and what your opinions are about the sources of information and support available at CSU, including Student Central and AskCSU.
To say thank you for taking part, students who completed the survey were entered into a draw to win one of five $200 Coles Group & Myer Gift vouchers, and we congratulate our prize winners: E. Ling, S. Just, S. Murphy, and K. Simpson. This group encapsulate the diversity of our student cohort, including three students who study via distance education and two who are enrolled on campus.
“I’d just like to say ‘Thank you’ to everyone who contributed to this project and sent us their survey responses with feedback and suggestions” said Katrina Allitt, Manager, Student Central. “The results will help us to make changes that will improve what we do in the future, and support the service initiatives we have in place that students are telling us they value.”
Julie Cleary, Director, Client Engagement, outlined the importance of this survey “Alongside reviewing existing content, there is a need to engage with students to test the current level of awareness and use of AskCSU, and to seek pointers from students about what they would want AskCSU to provide for them. The survey results will be used to highlight particular areas of interest to follow up in the future development of this online resource.”
“We are very proud of AskCSU” said Katrina Allitt, Manager, Student Central, “It is a relatively new resource so we are still getting the word out, but it has thousands of detailed articles covering every topic related to studying at CSU. It is the first place to go for help with every question.” The number of visits to AskCSU have doubled over the past 12 months, so our students seem to agree.
