How to deal with the mid-year slump

The break you have been waiting for is finally here! We all reach a point of wondering what we should do next. So, here are ways you can spend your semester break:

Be a tourist again –

If you want to have fun without spending too much money, it’s time to explore your own home! Visit areas near where you live.

You will be surprised by how much you don’t know about your own town or city; plus, the amount of history and local gems you could find.

Reunited –

Spend time with your family and friends. This is the best time to catch up and have quality time with the important people in your life.

Binge watch without the stress –

Now’s the time to finally enjoy the series or movie you were wishing you could splurge on during exams!

Even make a trip to the cinema because really, when was the last time you went?

Embrace the unknown –

Learn or try something new. From painting, pottery or even learning a new language, try a different activity and be productive with your time.

You may want to pick up on a hobby you left off in the last holiday break.

Work, work, work –

Pick up a few extra shifts here and there!

When the semester starts again, you don’t know when you might need to take an emergency day-off to put some extra time for your studies or just to take care of yourself. So, make the extra cash now.

Plan ahead –

This would also be the time to plan the next semester. Think of what your weaknesses were and how you will tackle them this time.

Were you easily distracted by your phone? Sleeping too late and not having the energy to study or work the next day?

Be ready and don’t make the same mistakes!
