Six things to do to return to study

 

While you are enjoying a well-deserved winter break from uni, now is also a great time to start thinking about the little things you can do to get ready for uni in Session 2 2019. Here are our six key tips so you feel prepped and set to go!

1. Enrolment

It is important to check your enrolment to make sure that you have added your subjects for Session 2! Take note of Census and Re-enrolment dates so you don’t miss out if you change your mind.

2. Prepare for your next subjects with Study Link

Study Link offers a range of online subjects that are short and self-paced. The online subjects focus on preparing students for formal study by filling knowledge gaps and building academic skills.

Study Link offers flexible study and terms are quite long to allow students to pace their own studies to fit their lifestyles.

3. Studying online subjects? Check if you’ve got Residential Schools

All dates for online subjects with a res school are now available. Check the dates for the subjects you are enrolled in or the subjects you are interested in studying.

You can also apply for accommodation during the June/July 2019 Residential School period are open.

4. Studying on campus? Get your timetables and accommodation sorted

Timetables: Session 2 on-campus class timetables were released on 17 June 2019. You can sign up to your tutes and pracs from 24 June 2019 – so make sure you keep your eye out for it then! Find out more.

Accommodation: Live your way on campus in 2019. There are lots of accommodation options on all campuses. You can expect lower costs, greater flexibility and more choice. Learn more about your accommodation and meal package choices.

5. Workplace learning

It is also important to start looking at what workplace learning experiences are available for the remainder of the year. You can find out about this in your course handbook and on your course Interact2 page.

There are also grants and scholarships available to help assist with the costs and planning ahead of your placement. You can find out more on the CSU scholarship website.

6. Scholarships

There are still some CSU Scholarships open for 2019! There is a range of Scholarships available – including Equity, Merit, Accommodation and more. You will be able to apply for a range of scholarships up until the start of the session.

So, check out which ones you’re eligible for and get applying. Remember to keep your eyes peeled throughout the year as external scholarships for specific cohorts open later on.
