Online study can feel pretty isolating at times. Unlike on-campus students, there isn’t really a physical place that you can go to congregate with your peers. However, there is a way to ‘find your tribe’ of like-minded students.

To start off, find the Charles Sturt University Facebook pages to engage with thousands of fellow students.

Facebook Groups List in the Student Portal

You can find links to the main Charles Sturt University pages through the links on your student portal or by using the links below:

Charles Sturt Students
Connect and stay up to date on student life, university events and important information.

Charles Sturt Social
Connect, ask questions and share your uni-related experiences and ideas.

Charles Sturt University Sport
Connect and keep up-to-date our Elite Athletes, events and club activities.

CSU Global
Connect and see how you can travel overseas while you’re studying.

There are also pages dedicated to your Student Representative Committees (SRC) which are great to connect with if you have feedback to share or want to get involved. You can find out more about or connect with your local (or online) SRC by visiting the SRC page and following the links.

Many courses also have dedicated Facebook groups for students. Check within your Student Portal or search Facebook to find.

You can also expand your network outside of Charles Sturt. There are study groups that are set up that are not affiliated with any University. These groups are open based on if you are studying and fit into a different grouping.

Study Mum is a Facebook group of over 7,500 members. Dedicated to (you guessed it!) studying mums! You can find help and support from a network of mums that are going through the study journey with you.

Mums who Study is a similar group with over 4,000 members.

Parents who Study is open to all parents that are embarking on further study.

A quick search of Facebook groups you can find groups dedicated to all types of students: local groups, international student groups, nursing, business, early-career research, etc.

Look to find your tribe today!
