Clean, Peaceful & Positive: How to Look After Yourself

The world is a weird place at the moment. We all face different challenges in this current situation so with that in mind, here is a guide on some of the things that you can do to feel refreshed, be more at peace and be positive whilst looking after your body and mind.

Stick to a Routine

If sticking to a routine means that you used to get up at 6am, keep getting up at 6am. When you stick to a routine your body maintains a higher quality of rest as opposed to sleeping and waking at irregular intervals. This in turn helps with keeping your mental sharpness and emotional well-being in check. This means you will be at your ready to tackle any uni assignments that you have coming up.

Drink Plenty of Water

Drinking the right amount of water can improve your memory and mood. It can also help reduce sugar cravings which is especially good for your health and reduce your sugar intake.

Water has many benefits for your body, mind and productivity during this time. Try drinking the right amount of water for yourself and see the benefits!

Eat a Balanced Diet

Aside from the health benefits of reducing the risk or cancer, heart disease and high blood pressure, you will reduce your sugar intake which can protect you from mood swings, reduce inflammation, protect your teeth and improve the condition of your skin.

Eating a balanced diet will benefit your body and mind functioning’s so that you can tackle even the hardest assessment questions.

Use Different Soaps and Lotions

You will be washing your hands more frequently so use different scented soaps and lotions for added benefit. If you are feeling stressed and anxious try using soaps that have lavender infused. The scent from the lavender has been known to relax or if you are looking for a quick burst of energy citrus scents are energising. This will help ward off any negative feelings that may crop up from time to time.
